Zooming through the Nevada desert in a bullet-riddled Crown Vic, Teddy (played by Frank Grillo) devises a risky scheme to evade the dangerous hitman Bob Viddick (portrayed by Gerard Butler). He punches rookie officer Valerie Young (Alexis Louder), which lands him in jail at a small-town police station for protection.
Yet, staying safe behind bars doesn't last long. Viddick has his own plans to infiltrate the jail, waiting patiently in a nearby cell until he can complete his mission. When another assassin (Toby Huss) shows up, chaos erupts, pushing Viddick to think on his feet if he wants to finish what he started and escape the explosive situation. Teddy is on the run in a stolen unmarked police car that breaks down near a Nevada casino.
During a fight outside the casino, he throws a punch at a rookie police officer to land himself in jail for safety against his pursuers. One of those pursuers, hitman Bob Viddick, also manages to get locked up in the same small-town jail by pretending to be intoxicated. As tensions rise between Teddy and Bob, another killer makes an entrance into the police station, raising questions about their motives.
