After regaining consciousness in jail, Breslin finds out that Warden Willard Hobbes is not the one who was supposed to free him during a crisis. He befriends fellow inmate Emil Rottmayer, who claims to be a security expert tied to a con artist named Victor Mannheim, who steals from the wealthy.
Breslin starts plotting an escape when he realizes he is on a massive prison ship in the middle of the ocean. Warden Hobbes warns Breslin that he knows his true identity and intends to keep him imprisoned forever. They strike a deal: Breslin will provide information about Mannheim in exchange for his release. However, Breslin misleads Hobbes about Mannheim, and when Breslin’s paycheck is frozen, his colleagues Abigail Ross and Hush begin to suspect Clark.
The prison, dubbed "The Tomb," is run by a profit-driven company linked to a notorious private security firm, as Hush uncovers. It is also revealed that Clark is in contact with Hobbes regarding Breslin's imprisonment. Breslin and Rottmayer figure out they are near Morocco in the Atlantic Ocean, thanks to another inmate named Javed. During a second attempt to escape, Hobbes and his crew kill Javed. Breslin fights back by killing a guard named Drake who tries to intervene. A shootout erupts between Mannheim’s helicopter and the guards. As Breslin is taken to the ship's lower level, Rottmayer goes up to the helicopter. When Breslin reaches the helicopter, Hobbes starts shooting at him. Breslin shoots several leaking oil barrels, resulting in Hobbes's death from the explosion.
